A journey beginning in an explosion
of love, ultimately ends in tears of
happiness and hugs

But the time in between can be tiring
and mean, and you'll wonder at times is it worth it?

No man can understand, (though try as I may) the changes to your body you're facing, or the pain that you carry day after day, or the strain, sleepless nights or the pacing

You'll start getting "Fat"; tired legs and sore back, and the bub is kicking like mad from inside you

No wonder with all of the depressions and ravings, mood swings and the cravings, for the day to be soon, you'll be longing

There'll be no more feeling " forlorn"; after baby is born cause you will share in the wonder of bonding

Now it's over and done, you're a proud new mum ; now tell me .... wasn't it all worth it?
